The above video demonstrates the following steps:
- Side of the thigh is the donor area (Site from which skin is removed)
- Area is surgically prepared to create sterile zone to harvest skin graft
- A very thin layer of skin is removed using a grafting knife
- The donor area is covered with sterile paraffin dressing & heals in about 7- 10 days
- The skin removed is immersed in Trypsin - EDTA solution & incubated
- Skin sample is trypsinized
